Choosing a Location
We can offer you a desk space in a choice of 15* innovation centres across Wales. So whether you’re looking to base yourself in a specialist innovation centre, or need easy access to a particular area of the UK, then there’s a range of options to suit.
All desk spaces come equipped with telephones and high speed internet connection and are typically located within an open-plan shared business unit**. Most of the innovation centres also offer use of their reception services, meeting rooms and conference facilities (charges may apply).

** Terms and conditions for occupying a desk space will vary depending on the chosen innovation centre. These will be detailed in a Licence Agreement which you will be expected to sign prior to taking up occupancy.

Technium (includes 11 specialist centres)
Technium is an environment dedicated to helping science and technology businesses grow. Technium has 11 innovation centres across Wales offering expertise across a variety of sectors offering specialist expertise across a variety of sectors e.g. electronics, visualisation & communication, digital media, IT & Software, performance engineering, electronics & digital devices, sustainable technologies and energy.
@Wales Digital Media Initiative
@Wales is located in Cardiff Bay at the heart of Wales’ largest digital and media cluster. The centre is devoted to supporting the Internet and digital media business, including ventures in new media, communications, electronic solutions and information technology.
Cardiff Medicentre
Cardiff Medicentre is located on the University Hospital of Wales campus which is also home to the University of Wales College of Medicine. The centre supports companies to bring innovative and practical application of medical research to market.
Cardiff Business Technology Centre (CBTC)
CBTC is located on campus at Cardiff University, one of the UK’s leading research Universities. The centre provides serviced accommodation, access to business support services and encourages knowledge transfer links between companies and the University.
The Engineering Centre for Manufacturing & Materials (ECM2)
ECM2is a 16 acre site in Port Talbot, South Wales offering a range of office and laboratory space, as well as a number of high headroom bays for large scale engineering development. The facility also houses companies offering analytical and testing services, as well as an engineering workshop and conference facilities.
