Payswyft sets up HQ in Wales

A new e-commerce venture, Payswyft, has established its HQ in Wales where it will create more than 25 high quality jobs.

PaySwyft aims to become the UK’s lead e-commerce business offering a unique secure on-line billing and payment service for clients and their customers.

The company, which has been supported by the Welsh Assembly Government through the Single Investment Fund, will operate from Technium Springboard in Cwmbran.

Payswyft CEO, Dr Jon Warner, said PaySwyft offered a new, niche product for the UK market with the initial service offering a real time online debit payment service.

“Our fully integrated web based payment service will enable any trading organisation to present bills and invoices via the Payswyft website and also allow their customers to make secure on line payments that are free of charge.”

“Customers that can pay on line have the inconvenience of logging onto the websites of numerous companies to do this and have to deal with multiple passwords.

“PaySwyft allows customers to go onto one single site to pay all their bills. There’s nothing like this on the market now.”

“It provides customers with flexibility, enabling them to choose the method of payment, date of payment and they can also change direct debits and standing orders on line.”

PaySwyft will be targeting businesses and organisations that provide and charge for services or products and bill customers. These include local authorities, utility companies, government departments, professional services companies and SMEs.

Ieuan Wyn Jones, Minister for the Economy and Transport, said the Assembly Government was keen to support innovative start up companies like PaySwyft offering niche products and processes.
