  • Fibre optic network specialist i3 Group launched its state-of-the-art training and distribution centre in North Wales this summer. The Haydock-based firm has invested more than £2m in the purpose-built Worldwide Distribution Centre (WDC) at Colwyn Bay’s Mochdre Commerce Parc.

  • Bangor Business School, part of Bangor University, is offering a suite of three workshops to help the global banking industry steer clear of another financial meltdown. The school is rated Number 1 in the UK for its expertise in accountancy, finance and banking.
  • Jigsaw Insurance Marketing is to open a new call centre business in Bridgend creating more than 50 jobs. Investing in an area of Wales where there is skilled workforce available. The company is a subsidiary of the Jigsaw Group which has centres in Nottingham and Leicester. Its investment in Wales is being backed with a single investment grant from the Welsh Assembly Government.
  • A dedicated training programme on Islamic finance has recently been launched in Wales. The launch event held at the Lord Mayor of the City of London’s home, hosted by the Islamic Banking Finance Centre UK (IBFC-UK) in conjunction with International Business Wales unveiled how the programme aims to assist financial organisations aspiring to offer Islamic Banking courses or products.
